I got a call today but it was my actual doctor's office. So for whatever it is worth, this may no longer be a spam call. I googled it and came here and so when the person was talking to me I was a bit rude because they had an accent and I couldn't understand them well...so I assumed a scam. Once I asked "who is this" they resaid but slower and I was so embarrassed as it was in fact from a new doctor I am seeing but had never been called by them before.
He called 2 times within 10 minutes of each other although he claimed it wasn't him and someone must be using his number (not only was his voice the same, but I recognized the number from the Caller ID on our office console). He calls asking for a former employee and when I inform him that he doesn't work here anymore, he asked me who the new owner is. When I tell him him that the person he called for was never the owner, he still demanded I put hi through to the owner. At this point, I said I can't do that and kindly asked for our number to be removed from his call list. Then he called again. If he calls again, I'm going to tell him that I am reporting his number and to stop harassing us.
