The first time I gave my new number to FPL then the Next day, this number called 10 times. What are the FPL's safety standards? never happened with other merchants, How can FPL have this leak of information and how are we protected giving FPL bank accounts, credit card information, home addresses SSN etc etc ?????
I got a call from some guy name martinez telling me its was FPL and that my meter was running at high voltage and needed to be replaced. scam.
Got a call from some guy telling me its was FPL and that my meter was running at high voltage and needed to be replaced. Claimed that I had not responded to several notifications. Hung up on him. Sounds like a scam.
The person told me that my electric meter was obsolete and needed replacement. He asked if my electric bill had gone up and if any of my appliances had been damaged. He also asked if I had experienced flickering lights. When I started asking him questions, he transferred me to his supervisor a man call Juan Bautista. When I asked to be transferred to someone who spoke English the call somehow dropped. I called FPL directly and they told me that there was no issues with my meter. So this may have been a scam
Got a call from (305) 442-8770. The call came identified as FPL. I normally don’t pick up but being that this number was on my contact list I did. It was a recording in Spanish saying that my bill was overdue and power would be turned off. I didn’t listen to recording in its entirety. It’s is a scam. I am up to date with my payments. The odd thing is that this telephone number belongs to FPL so how can scam calls come in disguised with this number? Weird.
Puerto Rican scum tried to call as FPL threatening to turn off power…
I tried to call back, but this is an international call
CALLING AS FPL COMPANY
a person claiming to be an FPL employee Carlos Martinez called to say that electrical power was going to be disconnected unless a cash payment was made. We called FPL and they confirmed this is a scam.
