Caller said "my credit report shows that I have $5k debt, is that correct?" I asked who was calling and where they got their information. Identified themselves as Cardmember Services, Department of Cardholder's services. I asked for Tax ID # and they gave me CS25501. I said that isn't a tax ID no. Caller went to get her supervisor who asked me if this was about a lower interest rate for my debt. I said I didn't know what she was talking about and I just wanted their Tax ID # so I could report them. She said I couldn't report Cardmember Services and she was going to end the call since she couldn't help me and disconnected.

We got called by these "VISA" people telling us they were lowering my interest rate. My wife conversed way too long, but did not give out any acct numbers. I called my VISA provider and asked if a "Michele Wilson" worked in their customer service dept. No such person works there and they were 100% sure I was being scammed.
