Received call at 9:22 a.m this morning( Saturday, 10/26/19,). Caller hung up when my answering machine answered call. I called the said number: "You are calling after working hours" -a voice recording.
Calls a few times a day. Never leaves a message. Caller ID says :Not In Service.
Sometimes calls multiple times a day. This is awful.
These callers are contractors seeking to profit off of a Maryland government program that ropes in Pepco and other electric utilities. It appears they only get paid if they can get you to accept the "one time" audit and distribution of energy-efficient light bulbs. I agreed to the bulbs via mail only, as the last thing I wanted to do was to allow a total stranger to come "audit" my house.
I have the phone number block and it still calls me all the time
I received a call from this number (301-298-1205 _Caller ID reads Not in Service) from a caller named Abby. Abby claims to be working with Pepco and the state of Maryland to arrange in home Energy Audits. She attempted to get me to schedule an appointment to have a team come into my home to conduct an energy audit; I declined. I advised her that I need to call Pepco to verify her story. She asked me to pull up the website and she guided me to the energy assessment program. She sounded legit however, I didn't buy her story/scam anyway. Beware. Probably trying to get into homes with ill intent. Beware.
Calls over and over again. Needs to stop!
caller i.d. reads ''not in service"
