I live in Nevada and have a Nevada phone number. I received a voicemail message saying I needed to call back or they would be issuing a warrant and have me arrested and that I should give them the last four digits of my social Curity number when I call. Investigated the number and found that it was a VoIP number. When I called back I answered and said that he was the social security administration. I told him I wasn’t comfortable giving them my Social Security number if there was fraud and asked that he send me mail correspondence along with his business card. He became very rude and hung up. This seems like a very serious game and I’m wondering what the best way to report it to the authorities is

I received a voice mail message from 281-816-7640 stating to give them a call and to enter the last 4 of my SSI number and if I didn't they would issue a arrest warrant. The message had no company name. What is up with this number, does anyone have any details? And why would I be getting a call from a Texas number stating this when I'm in Nevada and have no ties to to Texas. This is very threatening and want to know how I can report this and get to the bottom of it. Does anyone have any insight? I also filed a complaint with the FTC

Asked for my last 4 of social on voicemail and said I would be arrested if I didn’t provide the info. Called back and answered as social security administration. Said my social would be suspended if I didn’t give that info and also told me my mailing address (creepy). I asked what for and he couldn’t tell me so I hung up.

The called and said if I didn't call I was going to get arrested, I called and the guy asked me for my name the last 4 of my SS and more info. I said If there's suppose to be fraud on my SS I don't feel comfortable giving you any information, he was very rude and I hung up.
