Calling with the name of a person that used to have my number. Same message as was described above that "a file has been placed" etc. Reported to Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. I called the number back today and asked what company this was and the woman said, "We are a litigation law firm." I asked which one and she said, "Ma'am we don't need to get to that point." When I pushed back, she hung up on me. When I called back, again asking for the name of the "law firm" she told me to stop my calls or it would be harassment, that she would remove my number and then hung up.
This is the call that I just received from this number. No idea what it is about. Will be blocking number HOUSTON TX (281) 667-0093 TEXAS 0:37 family(?). We this message is in regards to a file has been placed with our office for review. It is important that we speak with you in reference to this file recommendation must be made on your behalf and we would like to obtain(?) your statement. Failure to respond will be noted as a refusal of your right it will be speak to your local processor. If you would like to speak with the mediator today please contact us at 470-237-4349 or press zero now to speak with the mediator.
I keep getting these messages saying I have a case pending. I connected to the ‘operator’ and the person had my name and said I had a case pending. I told her it was a scam and to F off.
