Claimed to be calling on behalf of a collection company. Said I was going to be served papers for an unpaid bill. Gave me another number to call. They had all my personal information. “Jake” was clearly foreign. Maybe from India.

Got a call from 256-770-0297, identified as possible spam. Very annoying.
I get about 9 calls a day from phone number 256-399-0952 leaving 6 second voicemails each time.
Someone from this number called me and left a message, then called my husband. The messages says they are contacting me able an urgent legal matter and they need to discuss the pending actions that may be filed against me.
Received a call, I answered call with Hello 3 times, caller hung up.

They claimed a MacBook Pro was ordered to be delivered to NM, pre-authorized, so it couldn't be canceled. Then offered to transfer it to my bank, where the fraud was reported, and it was transferred to a federal agent, and it escalated from there.
