Received this call at dinner time, answered it - it was a recorded message from "Nancy" pitching Medicare approved back braces. As this is not my first time around the block, I pressed 1 tp speak to a rep (about STOPPING their calls). After listening to a few minutes of the typical cheap telemarketer music while on hold, "Steve" answered. I asked the name of their company and he said it was "Quality of Life". I asked what state they are in (Caller ID said Crookston, MN). "Steve" said Pennsylvania. I inquired again WHERE they are headquartered and he said 40 of the 50 states! (WOW, big conglomerate, huh?). "Steve" then asked why that is important and , drum roll please, I told him I like to know WHO I am doing business with and WHO keeps calling me about this nonsense back brace scam! I then told him that I am on the DNC list. "Steve" said the DNC list doe snot apply to them! So, I have this scam telemarketer, from a ficticious company with no listed location (does not show up in a Google search) that keeps calling me on my National Do-Not-Call Listed phone number for some so-called brace that Medicare will cover. And the phone companies say they cannot keep us all from receiving these BS calls from all over tarnation? Well at least Caller ID was funny, they show as being from CROOKSton, MN...I guess the better crooks reside there becaus ethe city is named after CROOKS!?
