Started calling me today; they've called 4 times and left x2 2-minute voicemails about my Verizon account having an urgent issue. Since I know my bill is not due and I'm not experiencing problems with my Verizon services, and since the calls are not from a 1-800 or 1-888 number, and since Verizon hasn't texted or emailed me, I looked up the number to check for fraud alerts. Glad I did!
The voicemails prompt you with a 10-digit verification code and ask you to call a 1-800 number, submit the code, and proceed to correct the "urgent issue" with your service.
Call to my Vonage phone stating they are verison wait on line for person, then transfers to Verison to collect on a bill. I don't have verison.
