Is 206-401-1017 a scam or spam call?
Says they are from the treasury dept, will give me $9,000 if I go to Walmart & wire them $900. The fellow speaks with an accent, he is in Pakistan. Calls himself Williams. I hope at some point they phone companies will not allow people to use their system to try & scam people. I assume people do know that no one is ever going to call you & give you money, but they must get people falling for it.
I recieved a call from this number telling me there were 4 charges against me and that if I didn't call (360)718-6121, I would be arrested by local authorities. I researched the number before calling and discovered it to be a scam. After looking into the recorded message, I found that the message was left by this number. This is a scam, and I hope that their charges are more serious then the heart attack they nearly cause me. Garbage people.
Calls everyday several times a day..always a person of a middle eastern accent saying that you are a great citizen and you have been selected to recieve a grant from the government of $14,587 dollars..and to accept the grant go to a local store and use your creditcard or prepaid card of $300 they will give you your grant after they get $300 ????????????????
