Got the call today stating taking legal action - clearly a scam

Same as others being threaten to take legal action against me. For me to give a statement on my behave etc. And for me to call them by 3pm today..

Calling stating to put a lein on my vehicle from a payday loan company and taking legal action

Received a call from 205-756-7889 asking me to call back to 205-756-7889 regarding a legal matter for a pay day loan out of Texas - the 7889 number was not in service when I called right back. When I told them I do not live in Texas the lady on the phone said “oh I’m sorry, I was reading you someone else’s case” HELLO! make sure you’re scam is fool proof. Then I asked them to forward me a formal letter via email or mail so I can review and see if it’s legit. They told me to have my attorney call them. Then she accused me of not having an attorney when I gave her a little pushback. Hung up. Total BS!! They’re trying to bully you into giving your info up.

Calls from 209-7755, saying legal action will be taken if we do not call back at 205-598-5928 by 3pm. My daughter received same call a few months back, she ignored it also.

Same process as others listed - now spoofs a local Ohio number, but requests a callback to the Alabama number by 3 PM today.

It had called me at work stating I had to call them by 3pm or legal action would be taken.

Again like the others threat message saying that there is a legal matter pending. called 3 times in a row.

My experience mirrors the others posted here. The caller ID says ‘Law Office’ and the threatening message I received also directs to call their office before 3:00 PM because of legal action taken against me.

205-598-5928 is a robo-call that has called us a few times threatening legal action due to a civil complaint made against us. Like some of the others reported, the call said we had to call back by 3:00pm.

We don't even have counties in my state, we have parishes. If you're going to scam, at least make it believable.

Same experience as Highly Annoyed. Incoming number had a local area code but callback number was this one.
