Identified me as a personal reference for a family member, then stated need to get in touch with said family member. I have had this same number come to me before with a similar message, different voice, somewhat threatening. I have not returned call as no need to.
An "investigator Taylor Smith" calls all the time. She even left a case number. The calls are regarding someone I do not know, saying they need a defense statement for felony fraud. Even if you do call this number back, it's a voicemail of a lady saying "you've reached investigator Taylor Smith, leave name number and case number."
we had this too they called my husband looking for my Mother in law, and then called, me saying she's under investigation, then got very admiment we give her information, then we hung up.

just got a VM saying I was apart of an investigation. Being an investigator myself I know that letter correspondence and name of office should be included which it wasn't

Called me asking to relay a message to my fathers wife. Not sure how my number is the way to get through to her. Very fishy person on the line.
