From the post comments it looks like they were claiming to be with National Grid, now they are claiming to be with PSE&G. They left a message and I knew something was up so I blocked the number.
Called our business three times and asked to speak to our Accounts Payable manager. Claimed to be an Energy Consultant for National Grid. When I asked them for our account number they said they didn't have it for security purposes. National Grid says this is a scam!
Got three calls in succession in less than a minute. They left a message that a woman was calling from National grid and I should return her call to a number I did not know. It was NOT a Nat Grid number. what scared me was that she spoke my last name. I did NOT call the number. Please BE CAREFUL, this seems a very sophisticated scam!
This number called and claimed to be from National Grid, asking for account information. I said I wasn't interested and hung up and they called back two more times.
This number has called our business 3 times today pretending to be Energy Source & requesting to speak with the manager regarding an account that is not for one of our properties.
