Wanted information claiming he was from directv. SCAM
James Anderson - said he was calling from Directv. Asked how much my bill was, did I have any problems with my service. Asked for my AT&T pass code. Called two nights in a row. Gave me a call back number. Phone appeared to spoof a local number.
Harry from Directv asking if I was having issues with my unit. He indicated he was from headquarters in New York. Tried to get me to replace my units x3 and give me a $20 per month discount. Then wanted $99 for shipping and handling....with an additional $15 per month discount to pay for the shipping/handling. I told him to have the local office call me. 203-350-9750 his extension was 8010. I contacted Directv and they do not make these kinds of calls. Spam call.
received a call and the caller was insisting that he was with Directv and AT&T. Claimed that customers were complaining about their Directv service. I told him mine was fine and the I believed he was a scam. He gave me his number and his name was James. 203-350-9750 ext:8003.
This is not a legitimate AT&T or DTV customer service department. Do not provide any information to this outfit as it is a SCAM.
Foreign male claiming he was from AT&T, saying we need our cable boxes changed and asked for credit card. Creepy enough, he had our address.
Foreign male claimed to be JAMES BRAVO from AT&T, employee # 8024. Wanted to update boxes for Direct TV. Was inquiring into account codes and SS#. He could not give me my account # when challenged. Gave me call back # of 203-350-9750.
person said they were from at and t - wanting to come in and change tv boxes and give me a lower price; however. they also wanted a credit card number - that s when I realized they were fraud.
