I got the same call and listen to work very intently because I knew it was a scam , Because I don't pay my bills on time, I then call number they gave me and the recording said that party is not available at this time, To call back. Jeez I'm gonna lose my money because the 15 minutes are gonna go by quick. How well, I wonder what she gets paid for doing that.
The rep tells me that I was approved for a $9000.00 federal grant award that I would not ever have to repay. In other words free money. He says that my name and phone number was selected out of 1800 random number for being a loyal citizen and for paying my bills on time. This was his reason I g behind this "award". Then has me call a different number out of Washington D.C. to speak with the Treasury Manager. Wow. The Treasury Manager! Another person with a middle-eastern type of accent. She hung up on me twice when I asked about the $200.00 fee for and electronic registration card I would have to purchase upon picking up my "award" at local Western Union office. They really think this craps really works?!
