I received a call out of nowhere, & the guy on the other end had a strong accent. He said his name was Oliver Smith, & he was calling from Washington D.C & he was with U.S Treasury department (grant dept)saying that I was randomly selected to receive a grant in the amount of $9800 . Wanted me to give my bank information in order to get the money. Who the hell does this type of stupid stuff, & thinks it's alright & that someone's going to fall for it!?! Unbelievable
I received a call from this number telling me that I received a Government Grant for $9800 asking City, State, and Zip. They asked if I was single, working on unemployed. Said I could pick up the cash at any Walmart, Walgreens, Dollar General. How long it would take to get there? Make sure I have all my ID with me when I go to pick up the cash. There will be a 1-time registration card. Electonic card selection at the store. They claimed the card cost, I would pay the $250 and that amount would be returned to me by the store. They expected me to drive to the store and stay on the line the entire time.
called to offer money for an unknown grant program. asking for bank account information for direct deposit or fake walmart pickup

They called me claiming that they are the Federal and Grand Departement and that I had received a $9800 grand. They also knew my name and asked me about my address and if I wanted to receive the money directly to my bank account or if I wanted to pick it up. Then they gave me this number. It is super weird because I didn't apply for any grand. I believe this is a Scam.
