He said he was from a gov't agency and that I won a sweepstakes. I was skeptical and he commented my lack of enthusiasm. He said I needed to call the American Sweepstakes Network at 888 600 6078 to get a confirmation #, and call him back. I called and the automated message gave me 938 as my confirmation number and said I won $950,000. I then called him back and he repeated that I sounded skeptical. He said someone from Homeland Security needed to monitor the call and he would call me back. Still waiting for my $950,000. Lol.
In my case they claimed to the the FBI and that I was going to be arrested. Nigerian Scam.
Received a call and voice message requesting I urgently return call the the Federal Trade Commission about some Nigerian scam. Don't fall for this. Government agencies contact by mail.
