Got a call from 2013553252?
I got the exact same call today, same case number as everyone else. I’ve been pretty sick to my stomach over it until I found this thread. I’ve blocked the number & only received one call today.
Got the same call as Kim and J Rich. Scam pretending to be calling from the "US treasury department for tax evasion and fraud" and I was also given the identical claim id CP78298. This was a message left on my voice mail. I would block it but it will come through on another ID. Funny, the voice sounds the same as the robo-woman scam caller (at least 20 times, eventually it stopped) alerting me to some virus I had gotten on my PC and to call IMMEDIATELY. Of course, she said she was calling from Microsoft. I feel sorry for the unsuspecting.....
WOW, got the same call Kim, I did not answer, went to voice mail.the real funny thing is we both have the same case number CP78298... I never answer a call I do not know, if it is important they will leave a message. In this case they did, said U.S. Treasury.. yea right. I am pretty sure the Treasury would send by mail and also use my name when leaving a message. It does not even mention state or what magistrate.... best advice do not answer calls you do not know. If it is an emergency they will leave a message that makes sense. I once kept getting a call from a number that would call several times a day (i did not answer) but after so many calls from that number i answered and said ¨ Sherriffs office, you are on a trapped and recorded line¨ and they have never called again.

Robocall left message stating I have a case in magistrate court - did NOT call back
Called advising I was the target of a pending Federal Court case. Called back, Middle Eastern or thick African accent. Explained I was calling police and they hung up. SCAM
This person called and said I had a pending case with the Treasury, saying my taxes were filed incorrectly. Told him I would have gotten an email from my audit defense with turbotax and a letter from the IRS. He told me i was wrong and when I told him I have to call my audit defense. "Simon" told me "F*** you" and hung up.
