Just received a call from this company for the second time. As it was the second time and I had already looked up the company that the caller stated she was from after the previous call, I promptly hung up as a call that opens with a lie is a non-starter for me.
Got a call from 1-833-978-0994. They claim to be Breg Incorporated's Billing Department and were calling about a balance on due on my account. I don't know who this company is and I don't owe any money to them.
"Kathryn James" which is probably a fake name, Called me, left me threatening voicemails about some sort of payday loan debt. I called the number back and they scared me so bad into paying. She had ALL of my information. My last four of my social, my address, email address, bank account info, and the list goes on! She said if I don't pay or make a payment today, that my case would be escalated to trial and I'll be sued etc. I ended up making a payment arrangement. I paid "american capital credit" $200.00 and the remaining $206.00 was supposed to come out on November 5th. I later discovered this was a scam after 3-4 other FAKE mediation callers tried to cash in on this. Not only are they doing it to just me, they are doing it to thousands of other innocent hard working people. I would call her for days, and she would never respond for days and out of the blue she would call me back and apologize for not getting back to me quicker (like on a Saturday) (not even a business day). I finally accused her of fraud and told her that I knew everything. She was on the phone with me getting very VERY nasty and hostile telling me that this wasn't a scam. She was aggressively trying to convince me that "American Capital Credit" wasn't a scam. Don't believe me? I'll list all my sources. I'm exploiting this whole illegal scam. I've already hired an attorney and a private investigator against this woman. Got her location when she finally called me back, and then pursued charges on her 4 days ago. I've reported her to the FBI and every scammer site possible. Lesson learned, I will NEVER pay out anything over the phone without getting actual papers in the mail. DO NOT pay anything over the phone without receiving anything in writing in the mail. Called my daughter, who doesn't live in the same city as me, left a message threatening to serve some legal documents if I didn't call by the end of the business day. This is a complete scam, I filed a report with my local police department.
I receive scam calls on a daily basis for Arizona so if this was a real business then why didn't it say who the calls are coming from. If it was so important then why didn't they leave a voice-mail? I know because it's a scammer calling!

I got a call from this number, they wanted me to believe I had a court case where I was being sued by a state I never lived in!! They asked for personal information and after I asked what I was being sued for they started getting very angry, two of these men tried to argue and threaten me with court. Obviously a scam, no actual professional law office calls you and acts like that!! I'm making calls from this number. I am a contact tracer. I am calling you from the Los Angeles County Dept. of Public Health. We already have your info in our files, and we are viewing it on our computer screens when we call you; we just need to verify that the person we are talking to, is the person we are calling. HIPAA privacy laws require us to do that before we can discuss your Covid-19 status. We don't want to give out your information to someone who is not you, so we make sure we are talking to the right person first by asking you to verify the information we are seeing on our computer. It is the information that you recorded when you got tested for Covid-19. You filled out a form to get that test done. If you test positive, that info is sent to the L.A. County Dept. of Public Health, and someone like me will call you to interview you about your symptoms, people you have come into contact with that you might have infected, and we also offer to help you get things you need, like free groceries, free dental and medical healthcare, and help paying rent, mortgage, and bills. Those necessities are provided by organizations outside the DPH and are provided on an availability basis. The County is paying for people to stay at a hotel and get free meals during their isolation period of they don't have enough room to isolate in their home. If we call people you have come into contact with, we never identify you as the one who gave us their contact info, that is against the law. Your info and identity are always kept private. We are just trying to reach as many people as possible and inform them about what they need to do to stay safe and protect others around them, to help slow the spread of the virus. If too many people get it, all at the same time, it will overwhelm the healthcare system and could cause society in general to shut down because too many people are out sick with the virus. If too many people are sick at the same time, they might not be able to get the care they need, and they might not survive. Also, the more data we can collect about the virus, its symptoms, and how severe they are, the more we understand about who the virus affects the most, and how it affects them, and that leads to more and better treatments. The interview can last anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour, but it's for a good cause, so I hope that you will all take the time to participate. I hope this helps.

8/19/21 received call from "Aetna" to call back with robo-caller-supplied PIN. Called back, and instead of asking for PIN, asked to verify full date of birth and zipcode. Hung up immediately, and called the real Aetna to verify that number is NOT theirs.

I got a call from someone stating he was from Fair Recovery and was on a recorded line and stated he was calling to collect a debt. He called from (302)213-6242. He also stated that others usually got a major credit card in order to take care of the debt. He also told me that there was a settlement amount for $1,600 and if they were to take me to court then with fees I would be paying more than $4,000. Then he told me i could call him back. Said his name was David Robinson and told me to call back at 1(833)388-4900 ext. 108 when I was ready to pay. My credit report has no record of this debt and I called the company he said he working on behalf of and they had no record. He called back today and asked if I was ready to settle this and I told him that I haven’t received the copy of the collection notices with settlement agreement in the mail yet. He said that he wasn’t a collection agent he was a mediation company. I then told him that I was told never to pay a collection debt if I did not receive a notice. He then said with attitude “we’ll see you in court then and hung up on me.
